A Boo-tiful Time of Year
Fall is here and we have a great way to get the holidays started by celebrating Halloween weekend! Whether you are into scary stuff or looking for memory-making family fun, we’re always here to help. This weekend there are tons of Halloween activities in the Northwest Arkansas area and we’ve compiled some for you here.
Friday and Saturday, Oct 28th and 29th you and your friends can visit Modern Mission and battle for survival in a Zombie Epidemic! This is not your standard Laser-tag as terrifying clowns chase you and your friends. The terror (and fun?!) starts each night at 7 pm. Please note space is limited, so reserve your tickets in advance. Players must be at least 12 years old and the price for playing is $25.00.
If you are looking for something a little calmer than zombies, Saturday Oct. 28th between 5:30 and 9 pm will be Animal Science Day at the Pauline Whitaker Arena at the University of Arkansas. Come celebrate with food, games, livestock demonstrations, costume contests for the whole family (including the dog), a haunted house and lots of candy. Oh and get this: entry is free!
The last Farmer’s Market of the year at Bentonville Square will get into the spirit with Trick or Treating! On Sat Oct. 29th between 10 am and 12 noon Trick or Treating activities will add even more fun to the market. Be sure to dress in your best costume!
On Sunday October 29th, Springdale Parks and Recreation has announced their inaugural soccer tournament: Kick or Treat! This will be a tournament by day and a free Halloween carnival that night! The carnival will include costume contests, bouncy houses, a haunted hay ride, candy, food and is sure to be give everyone a real kick!
Finally it is Halloween! Monday Oct 31st brings Trick or Treating on the Square. Visit Fayetteville Square between 3 – 5 pm for the sweetest of all events with carnival games, face painting, costume contests, and candy for all participating children.
