Big Fun Before Back to School

Before you know it, school will be back in session and summer days will be but a memory. Northwest Arkansas offers so many family-friendly activities and many are inexpensive and focus on just spending time together. Use this blog for a few fun ideas for a few last-hurrahs before the bells ring and school is back in swing.

Have you gone to 112 Drive-In Theatre lately? Located in Fayetteville at 3552 Highway 112 North, this is an experience straight out of days past. Admission prices are very reasonable: $9 for ages 13 and up, $4 for kids 6-12, and little ones under 5 are free! They serve delicious concession fare like cheeseburgers, fries, pretzels and of course popcorn and sodas. Come enjoy a flick outdoors with a cool summer breeze and the whole gang.

Another blast from the past is taking a trip to Suzy Q Malt Shop in Rogers for a classic treat. They first opened their doors in June of 1960! Forget those pricey gourmet burger places. Suzy Q Malt Shop takes it back to the basics and is there anything better than an old-fashioned burger or malt? We think not!

Did you know Bentonville’s public library boasts a ton of children’s programming? These free classes actually run year-round and include story time for the younger kids and offers book groups and craft projects for older kids. Bentonville’s Public Library also hosts events with professional performers, authors and illustrators. This is a wonderful area resource has something for everyone in your family to enjoy.

We hope this will spark a few ideas as you wind down your summer break. As always, reach out to Summit Property Management with any questions about the Northwest Arkansas areas we represent. We are happy to help you!
